PROGRAMME
The King’s College “Elite University Summer Course” has been designed for all students aspiring to join the world’s leading universities such as Oxford or Cambridge and, more specifically, those students applying to highly selective courses such as Medicine, Politics, Philosophy and Economics, where interviews form an integral part of the admissions process.
Our programme is led by Oxford graduate staff from King’s College, who have extensive experience preparing students for successful Oxbridge entry.
The course consists of an intensive series of master classes covering course and College choice, the admissions process, entry procedures and the university interview process and test. Classes will help participants to develop their cognitive, analytical and problem solving skills, as well as prepare students for admissions interviews.
Course Leader: Mr. M. Taylor, MA (Oxon), MA (London)
Course arrangements
The “Elite University Summer Course” is a day course, but it should be noted that evening preparation tasks form an essential part of the course. Students may choose to board on site at our dedicated Residence, Tenbury House, but this is not essential.
Entry Requirements
- Attendees should be in Year 11 or 12 British Curriculum year groups or the equivalent year in other international education systems.
- C1 Level English is a minimum requirement if the student is not a native speaker of English.
- Students should be in the 15-18 year old age range and have an interest in applying to elite universities. Applications for places will be assessed based on the completed application form and the level of an applicant’s abilities in English.

One hundred percent (100%) of Year 13 leavers gain a place at a university of their choice. Generally, universities look most favourably upon applications from schools such as ours, as they appreciate that the multi-cultural, multi-lingual nature of our students will enrich their undergraduate lives. We are experts at securing places for students at the university of their choice and this includes top universities such as Russell Group (UK top 24 Universities), Oxbridge and Ivy League.
RESULTS
Achievement in British public examinations at this level confirms the status of King’s College as one of the very best British schools in Europe and compares very favourably with UK-based top independent schools and highly-selective state grammar schools.
